We were delighted to welcome Royal-appointed artist Jeremy Houghton, who this year is artist in residence at Gilwell Park to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Scouts, to a special charity event here at the Sansaw Estate.

The evening attended by dozens of invited guests included a talk by Jeremy followed by a drinks and canapes reception.

A collection of Jeremy’s work was on display and those attending really enjoyed the opportunity to chat to this very celebrated artist in person.

The event raised vital funds for the Clwyd Special Riding Centre which offers children and adults with additional needs the opportunity to benefit from riding, carriage driving, equestrian vaulting and equine learning and therapy.

Jeremy is one of Britain’s most celebrated artists and has previously been artist in Residence at Windsor Castle, Highgrove and London Fashion Week. He was also the official artist of the London Olympic Games in 2012 and twice the official artist at Wimbledon.

“It was an absolute delight to host this event here at Sansaw and we are very grateful to Jeremy for taking time out of a very busy schedule to attend,” said James Thompson who was joined by his wife Åsa and son Freddie at the event.

“We all enjoyed hearing about his career and his work. It was also a privilege to be able to support an organisation such as the Clwyd Special Riding Centre which does such amazing work”
