Andersons Seminar 2026 – Prospects for UK Agriculture – Harper Adams

Andersons Seminars gives an overview of the UK farming industry & its prospects – covering policy changes, legislation, economics & profits.

We attended the Andersons Seminar at Harper Adams University. Beginning with a comprehensive look into farming; profitability and performance, trade policy, farm support updates and diversification. This being of particular interest where farming trends in diversification are notably helping to boost turnover/profits outside the traditional farming business.

Each sector was discussed, of particular interest to us was a diagram showing global beef trends. The UK is plateauing in it’s consumption of beef despite a population increase, whereas the EU is seeing a decrease and developing markets are on the up.
