PROPERTY MAINTENANCE & UPGRADES
The maintenance team continues to work hard making the most of these warmer months. Roof checks, gutter repairs and repainting are well underway, ensuring homes and buildings are in top condition after the long, wet and cold winter – and before the next one!
We do appreciate your patience during this essential work — and as always, please report any maintenance needs through the usual channels.
DAIRY NEWS – SPRING 2025
It has been a bustling season at the Sansaw dairy units, spring calving this year was epic! The team did an outstanding job supporting the herd through an exceptionally busy calving period, as previously reported. To top it off, on an even more positive note, we have seen strong calf prices this season.
Milk yields are also strong and you can see the animals enjoying the bountiful fresh grass and the longer days that the spring offers. A simple reminder of the connection between good farming practise and the natural rhythms of the land.
CELEBRATING THE SEASON
I am sure you will agree that Sansaw is a simply stunning place in spring. A truly quintessential landscape, with the trees leafing out, the abundance of hedgerow wildflowers and of course all set to a backdrop of continuous bird song echoing through the lanes.
We encourage everyone to take a walk and explore the bridleways and footpaths — this is when the estate is at its most vibrant. Download a birdsong app and find out which birds make their homes in the Sansaw woodlands.
Plans for a few community events to be held over the summer are in motion, including a farm tour and a countryside walk with our estate manager. More details to follow.
