Join us for an exciting open farm day at one of the UK’s leading grass-based dairy farms, Sansaw Dairies Ltd in Shropshire. This day offers an opportunity to learn about the latest New Zealand dairy technology, equipment, and genetics and how it can improve your farm productivity and profitability.

About the Farm:
Sansaw Dairies Ltd operates on an 820-ha spring-calving, grass-based system, milking over 1,500 cows twice a day. The farm is known for its efficient grazing infrastructure and focus on milk production from forage (80% of milk from forage). The breeding is based on New Zealand Friesian, Irish Friesian and Jersey. Breiffni Daly, the farm manager, oversees a team of 14 full-time employees and his implemented numerous improvements since taking over in 2020. His dedication to budgeting, team cohesion and system refinements earned him the Farmers Weekly Farm Manager of the Year award in 2024.
Programme for the Day:
- 10:30am: Event starts with tea/coffee available
- 11:00-11:30am: Welcome from NZ government and Sansaw Dairies Ltd and presentation from Breiffni Daly on the farm, its grass-based system and key genetics and technology
- 11:30-2:00pm: Demonstrations from leading New Zealand agritech solutions
- 1:30pm: BBQ Lunch provided by local caterer
- 2:30pm: Event concludes
